Interactive Murder Mystery (speakeasy & dinner)

Maggie Kinman's Speakeasy

"Another Opening, Another Murder..."

All ages require a ticket to attend this event.

Ticket Price: $30.00

In celebration of the Frauenthal’s 80th Anniversary, step back in time……..the year is 1930.  Muskegon has just opened its first “all-talking” movie house, The Michigan Theater.  It has created quite a stir in the community.  The opening film “Queen High” played to sold out audiences.  But the new Michigan Theater holds a deep, dark secret.  Prohibition is in full force, but that doesn’t stop Muskegon residents from letting the good times flow.  Below peaceful Western Avenue, jazz plays loudly and gin flows like water at “Mad” Maggie Kinman’s Speakeasy.

Although laughter and singing flow beneath the streets, tragedy will soon strike the gin joint and throw the happy gathering place into chaos.

Enjoy dinner then put on your detective hat.  The suspects have been gathered:  Fingers Malone, Helen Pureheart, Laughing John Jolly, Serve-em-up Jones, and Side Door Sally.  The scene has been set.  Come join Detective Lance Hamilton and a cast of zany characters (which might include YOU!) as we explore the nefarious events which unfolded below the city’s surface in an attempt to solve the latest crime.

Deadwood Productions returns to Muskegon……

Known for its high quality comedic audience –participatory mystery productions throughout Michigan including: the Coopersville & Marne Railway, Wellington Farm USA, the Red Oak Station, and numerous private functions, Deadwood Productions returns to the Muskegon area with another exciting mystery!

Owners Elizabeth Jackson and Michael Reinhardt bring their many years of experience in professional theatre for the first time to the Frauenthal Theater after returning to Muskegon from Tennessee.
